Junior Digital Graphic Designer

Salary: £25 – £28K

Employment: Full-time, Hybrid (3 days in office/2 WFH)

Location: Market Deeping / Peterborough

Overview

We are seeking a creative, motivated, and detail‑driven Junior Digital Graphic Designer to join our dynamic marketing agency.

This is an exciting opportunity for a designer eager to work on a broad mix of creative projects across digital, print, branding and exhibitions. You’ll support the Senior Designer and wider team, contributing to work for multiple brands and national and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

Working closely with the Senior Designer and marketing team to deliver creative work to brief.

Digital Design

  • Create visually engaging assets for digital platforms including social media, websites, online campaigns, UI elements, display ads and email templates.
  • Support web design and prototyping.
  • Support in designing presentations and pitch decks for internal teams and clients.
  • Assist in designing infographics, presentations, and digital documentation.
  • Contribute to branding projects and brand development, including adaptation of existing brand assets into platform‑appropriate formats.

Print Design

  • Produce print-ready artwork such as flyers, brochures, posters, and business stationery.
  • Assist with exhibition graphics and display design.
  • Ensure all artwork meets print specifications and quality standards.

Creative & Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Senior Designer to develop concepts and execute creative ideas.
  • Support creative team members with layout, editing, and visual development.
  •  Assist in maintaining brand consistency across all client materials.

Project Delivery

  • Manage personal workflow to meet deadlines across multiple projects.
  • Prepare and package design files to a professional standard.
  • Maintain organised project folders and follow agency file‑naming conventions.

Person Specification

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Awareness of emerging AI tools and trends in design.
  • Basic experience with designing for social media, responsive web assets, and print production.
  • Knowledge and experience of web design and prototyping workflows.
  • Good understanding of layout, colour theory, typography, and brand application.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Confident and professional when interacting face-to-face with clients.
  • Proactive, curious and keen to learn.

Personal Attributes

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with other UI/UX tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Art & Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; OR strong portfolio demonstrating relevant skills (eg apprenticeship equivalent to study period).
  • 1 to 2 years experience in a graphic design role (agency or in-house).
  • A strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print design work.
